Lynne Katzmann, CEO, Juniper Communities leads a panel of policy experts from key senior housing trade associations and a past legislator and current healthcare policy expert who will share their knowledge and insights on key legislative and regulatory changes that could affect senior care and essential information about Medicaid and publicly funded healthcare and it's potential impact on leasing, census, occupancy, and human capital issues in senior housing and post acute services.

• Maribeth Bersani COO, Argentum
  Maribeth Bersani has worked in the field of aging for over 30 years. Currently the COO of Argentum, she previously served as the organization’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy for 10 years. Argentum, formerly the Assisted Living Federation of America, is the largest trade association representing senior living providers. Prior to joining ALFA, Ms. Bersani worked for Sunrise Senior Living for ten years. She was the Executive Director of Sunrise of Alexandria Virginia, a Regional Director of Operations and National Director of Government Affairs.

• Julie Hamos Principal, Health Management Associates
  Julie Hamos is currently a Principal of Health Management Associates, a national consulting firm with expertise in publicly funded health care, primarily Medicaid. Previously, Hamos was the Cabinet-level Director of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, responsible for Medicaid and child support. Under her leadership, the department was successful in redesigning the Medicaid healthcare delivery system, implementing the Affordable Care Act, modernizing the major technology systems and bringing fiscal discipline to the Medicaid budget. From 1999-2010, Hamos served as an elected State Representative, sponsoring and passing ground-breaking legislation.

  Lynne Katzmann is Founder and President of Juniper Communities, which invests in, develops and manages senior living and long term care communities. Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Juniper is ranked #14 by Crain’s New York on its Top 50 ranking of woman-owned companies for the New York tri-state area. Katzmann has been involved in the health care industry for almost 30 years, working in the public and private sectors in the United States and Europe.

• Jeanne McGlynn Delgado VP, Government Affiars, ASHA
  Jeanne McGlynn Delgado leads ASHA’s public policy efforts on Capitol Hill and before federal agencies. In this capacity, she works closely with Randy Hardock, ASHA’s longtime Chief Legislative Counsel. Most recently, Jeanne has served as Vice President for Business & Risk Management Policy and Government Affairs at the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC). In that position, she spent the past 11 years lobbying for leading multifamily housing developers, managers, and owners on a host of policy issues including insurance, housing finance, fair housing, and tax before Congress and the federal agencies. Prior to her employment with NMHC, Jeanne spent several years working at the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), developing and implementing public policy positions on federal issues. She began her career managing the Political Action Committee for the American Chiropractic Association. Jeanne earned her Bachelors of Arts from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
